Carrd's aim is to simplify the process of designing web pages. Set up an account and build up to three sites using all of the core features for free.
Main features
- interface suitable for beginners (particularly if you have previous experience with other design tools)
- full responsive with a good mobile experience (plus option to preview and edit your website in the mobile orientation)
- try it out without creating an account
- use a template (67 options for the free plan) or start with a blank page
- easy-to-use drag-and-drop editor with good instructions
- change lots of elements easily, including backgrounds, styles etc
- not our favourite feature - changing text is done in a panel, rather than on the page itself, and the available formatting is a bit clunky
- can be used as a landing page or for a campaign
- free for up to 3 one-page sites (scrollable with sections), includes
- 'Made with Carrd' branding in the footer
- the 'free' version publishes your website as a sub-domain of carrd.co - the URL will be something like mywebsite.carrd.co
- try Pro for free for 7 days
- upgrade to Pro for a low cost per year to get:
- custom domains (use your own domainlike myorganisation.org.nz)

- build more than 3 sites
- add forms
