Pexels has been providing high quality and completely free stock photos since 2014.
All photos are tagged and searchable and, unlike many similar photo websites, the library itself only contains free photos.
Main features
- all photos and videos are free to use, and licensed under the Pexels licence
- however, partway through each collection of free Pexel's images you'll find a section of images sponsored by iStock - the images in this section are not free so just check that your download is free
- attribution is not required however giving credit to the photographer or Pexels is appreciated - more on the licence requirements here and the terms of service here
- photos from Pexels can be modified/edited
- note: images cannot be used to promote, advertise, or endorse any political party, candidate or elected official
