This subscription (formerly Office 365) gives you tools to work, organise, connect and create.
A typical Microsoft 365 subscription plan used by a not-for-profit organisation will include the use of the Office software suite over the life of the subscription (no need to buy new licences year after year!), as well as cloud-based software products like a hosted Exchange server, Skype server, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint.
Main features
- some plans are cloud-based only, others include Office desktop versions (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc)
- all Microsoft 365 plans include automatic updates without requiring new licences as long as the subscription is current (paid)
- plans include OneDrive cloud storage so you can share, collaborate and access files wherever you are
- be productive anywhere and stay connected whether you are working remotely or onsite
- manage users and devices, defending against cyberthreats
- the inital setup can be tricky, particularly if you have your own domain and your plan includes Exchange, so consider getting support to do this. Many IT support companies provide this service
